Section Bus stop – 24 min walk (1.7km), in Paarden Eiland. Located on the T01 trunk route, providing service between Dunoon and the Waterfront
Golden Arrow Bus stops:
All the golden arrow bus stops are situated beyond reasonable walking distance.
Coronation Bus stop – 45 min walk (3.2 km). Drives along Maitland to Paarden Eiland boundary and connects to Cape Flats.
Green Bus stop – 40 min walk (2.8km). Drives further south than the bus from coronation.
Safety:
MyCITI buses are equipped with CCTV cameras, and operators are connected to a central control room. There have been a few incidents in late 2025 of bus vandalism, as reported by Cape Town ETC.
The issue of safety is not one of the buses itself, rather that of vulnerability to opportunistic criminals if you are openly carrying technology, like laptops or smartphones.
Considering this, the 40-minute walk toward the Golden Arrow bus stops is not recommended.
